I just thought I'd mention, perhaps it's been mentioned already, but Spyware Warrior Forums saved my ass.... They will walk you through de-infesting your computer, how to find the spyware & get rid of it..... It totally eliminated my spyware problem & I learned some useful techie stuff too.

that doesnt always work. Once I had to go into the registry and delete the shit manualy. but Safe Mode does help a lot.

Even so, the registry editing is better done in safe mode, because if the malware is active, it adds the registry values immediately back after you delete them.

Yeah, I know. I thought you were reffering to just using your spychecker in safemode.

Have you scanned it with AdAware and Spybot S&D?

no i got microsoft antispyware and i dont think its doing its job
i dont use adaware cuz its too advanced and i can easily delete something vital and that would be bad
as for spybot...i just dont like it due to the fact its almost like microsoft antispyware(it seems) any other good alternatives?

Spyware Blaster and a little program called XP-Antispy (assuming you're not using Vista yet - I know I'm sure not) can help safeguard the internal workings of your PC, and prevent almost any permanent damage in the even that you do get spyware. You would, of course, need Spybot S&D or Ad-Aware SE to remove it though. They're purely for prevention.

XP-Antispy should come standard on all Windows XP machines.
