Default Your favorite band... from your country?

What's your favorite band from your country? For me it would have to be Heroes del Silencio, an awesome Rock band from the early-mid 90's/late 80's. The vocalist has a really powerful voice, most people recognize him as Bunbury(Enrique Bunbury, whom now is sadly a queer-looking pop singer). I also really like Avulsed, a nice Death metal band.
Both of these bands are from Spain.
So what's yours? Oh yeah, don't forget to state what country your from.
note to Swedes/Norwegians/Finnish ppl: Please don't drive me crazy over all those kickass metal bands you have, I'm jealous enough as it is.

I just can't select one band, it's too hard!

Band (recommendable song) [additional info]...get it?

    ---

    Aeternus (Slavestate)
    Ark (Burning Down)
    Borknagar (The Genuine Pulse)
    Burzum (Jesus Tod)
    Cadaver (Decomposed Metal Skin)
    Darkthrone (Black Daimon)
Dimmu Borger (Spellbound) [Not too fond of this band]
    Ddheimsgard (Regno Potiri)
    Einherjer (Ironbound) [From my hometown]
Emperor (I am the Black Wizards)
Enslaved (Jesus Saves {Slayer-cover}) [Just discovered that these guys are from my hometown too...wicked!]
    Fortress of Grief (War)
Green Carnation (Light of Day, Day of Darkness) [60 minutes long]
    Ildjarn (Innferd)
    Isengard (Deathcult)
Immortal (At the Heart of Winter)
Jorn/Jrn Lande (Living with Wolves) [Best vocalist of all time?]
Limbonic Art (Towards The Oblivion of Dreams)
Masterplan (Sail On) [Jrn Lande does the vocals here, this band toured with Hammerfall. Most members from this band are from Helloween)
    Mayhem (Chimera)
Mortiis (nden som gjorde Opprr Del 1 + 2) [Not really metal, but Darkwave/Ambient]
Pagans Mind (In Brilliant White Light)
    Satyricon (I Got Erection {Turbonegro-cover})
    Seigmen (Fra X til Dden)
    Storm (Oppi Fjellet)
    Susperia (Chemistry)
    The Cumshots (Dead Mans Hand)
Thundra (Blood of your Soul) [Another band from my hometown...vikin metal is popular here, a famous viking is buried here too )
    Tristania (Wormwood)
Troll (Med Vold skal takes Kristenliv) [Means; "Christians life is going to be taken with violence]
Ulver (Bergatt) [Note, Bergtatt is a huge CD in 5 chapters]
    Windir (Arntor, ein Windir)

Bah, this list seems to be so empty.

My favorite American band is Primus. They've inspired me to no end. I have every studio song written by Primus released thus far, and I see no signs of slowing down.
The psychotic dress, the senseless feature terrifies every living creature. Predictability is wearing thin; groundbreaking practice for the preacher.

Isn't it Evanescence? Btw if you like it, check out Nightwish.
I forgot to mention Meln Diesel, a really cool Spanish rock/alt. Rock band, somewhat similar to Radiohead(some songs). Listen to the song "Grita", it's pretty good.
