What is the best non solder mod chip way to play backup versions of PS2 games? Is it by using an external mod chip or a disk? If so, please tell me which brands and models work best.

I hear the best way is to install a flip top onto your PS2. It is a replacement top that allows you to take the disk out by opening up the top instead of pressing the button. Then you just use a swap magic disk that you can buy.

I hear it is good, but there is just something I have against prying your drive tray out everytime.
