Default sega master system: best games

i've rencently become ver accquainted with this system through the MEKA emulator. i can't believe that this system lost to the NES in the console wars because it's so much better, anyway, does any1 else play sms games and it so, which are the best (in ur opinion)

i like cloud master, kenseiden (both hard as hell) as well as shinobi.

Lots of really good games, my absoloute fave though was: Wonderboy in Monsterworld

Not sure if I played Cloudmaster, but Kenseiden and Shinobi both bring back some great memories

But then I liked R-Type on pretty much every system except the SNES

R-Type: already have the arcade, SNES and PCE versions, none of which i play that often. i don't think i'll even get around to playing the SMS version. i'll prolly get it for content on the yearly emulation cd that i burn for my friends, tho. (this year it'll have SMS, NES/Famicom, C64, MSX, and PCE/TG16 (my complete collection of each) as well as selections from my SNES/SFC and Genesis/MegaDrive collection).

the 1st and second sonic games totally fwned the mega drive versions. after that, there was sonic chaos, which wasn't quite up to scratch, although still better than the first two, but then the quality spiked downwards..

    sonic blast...ugh...anyway...

I had a Master System 1. They were better than a Master System 2, because that's what n00bs had. Same with Mega Drive 2.

My family still has a SMS1 and SMS2 with about 10 games. My older brother's prized posession is the original Phantasy Star in mint condition, but he'd never sell it because it was his first RPG. I still hear him and my brother talk about how revolutionary the game was, and I'd have to agree.
    Phantasy Star
    Choplifter
    Double Dragon
    etc..
