Any dialup-ers?

Hey ppl Im on dial up ( i hate it), but I wanted to ask you ppl with dial up, how much have you downloaded? and how big was the bigest file youve dl? For me it was an iso 400 Mb. and the grand total of my dl files is about 9BG. Now what are your acomplishments?

NOTE: non dial ups may put up their acomplishments, but please state your conection type so that I dont go like: WTF?

I can't recall how much I downloaded when I had dial up, except that I know it was a lot..

The biggest file I ever downloaded on dialup was the obvious 700MB ISO.

I'v never had dial-up nor do I plan to ever get it, I've always had cable....won't settle for anything less. Biggest download I'v downloaded was probably about 5-6GB and the most.....cant count, too much..

When I had dial-up I downloaded lots of stuff on kazaa that reached up to 700megish overnight... Other then that.. dunno.. lots of 100meg video falls that were tv shows.. I'm on cable now tho.

Don't know how much I got while on dial-up... I did get 8GB on a day not too long ago, though. I've got ADSL, about 200kb/sec down/up.

I used to have a 33.6k modem a few years ago, and I didn't d/l much with it, but it played HL unbeleivably well online. Until spring of '03 I was on a 56k that came with my new comp, and Id d/l about 300 mb a day. Right now Im on aDSL and I get a tops of 32kb/s down(rarely, its always 27kb/s), 17 kb/s up(only on BT). I d/l at least 1 GB a day, but on occasion I've d/led around 2.4 GB in one day(when I dont touch my comp at all, leaving it 24/7). I normally get 100mb in 1 hour, so it all adds up nicely.

When I was on dial up, the most I ever d/led was Ragnarok (twice) which is about 600MB, and altogether I tihnk I d/led about 20gb

I wasn't much of a downloader when I got 56k...Most of the times I was downloading MP3's or ROMS...now I have a 2 Mbit connection...goes a bit faster

When I had dialup I would d/l 3-4 mb songs occasionaly. Now that I have cable a 100 meg file is nothing to me. I have time and bandwith.

I used to download loads of rips and roms on dial-up. I did get broadband about 2 years ago, though.

I got dialup. My best download was prolly 60 megs or so. For some reason mine is the super shit and the best I've ever gotten was 3 k/s.

im on really bad dial-up, i can only ever download at about 1.5 Kb/s, if even that. When i had my 386 on the internet, i downloaded a hard disk image from a sever i once had. it was about 3 GB, and i got it in dribs and drabs. it was funny, took me about a month, 24/7 downloading. The fastest my internet ever downloaded at was about 13 Kb/s, and that was about 2 weeks ago

I used to have 14.4kb... On a Mac Performa... With AOL 5... I downloaded a webpage... It took an hour... :\

well i've had my own dial-up connection for 3 years and i've downloaded a total of around 5 gig biggest was problably 500MB.

for some unknown reason i get 4KB/s where as the rest of my family ges 2. We all have 56K modems though.???
