    Default What is the best Linux OS for my 1.3 ghtz computer?

    it has 128 mb of ram, and a 40 gig drive. I know there's a lot out there, so what should I use?

    It doesn't matter all that much wich Linux you use, IMO....
    But if you still want a choise: Just do Mandrake
    I'm just a lurker these days, I feel like an 80 year old gramps, watching his grand children play outside *sigh*

    RedHat / Mandrake / Suse, nice and userfriendly distros

    I've had a few problems with Mandrake 10 (namely dual boot refusing to work, even though 9.2 and 9.1 worked fine) so i won't suggest going for, but Fedora Core aka Redhat 10 is great - http://fedora.redhat.com
