^Not rare really, but very difficult to find over here for more than a year now due to Japanese sellers either refusing to send to Australia at all, or insisting on charging crazy shipping costs simply because Japan Post will not ship to Australia by air... still

*Grand Theft Auto III (PS2) 1st AU PAL version aka banned version.

^Finally found the "hard to find" early variant I've been looking for. Very first Australian release (which was pulled from shelves), disc is SLES-50330/UK so uncensored and the earliest retail version available (yes, earlier than any NTSC retail version). Has matching AU cover art and manual (both have different art compared to UK/EU and US versions). Map/poster is same as UK release. All matching 50330 numbers.
This is rarer than the first UK/EU variants (although technically the disc is identical), as I said different art and obviously lower numbers around because there isn't a huge population here plus it was pulled from sale. Later a new censored AU version was released: SLES-50793 (I have that variant too).

First PAL versions are SCMv1 but earliest NTSC versions are SCMv2.
