I would say Resident Evil 4 is better than ToS, but they are very differenet game styles. Tales Of Symphonia was a fantastic RPG, and if you like that then you are going to love Baten Kaitos!

I think that'd depend on the tastes of the gamer. Baten Kaitos is essentially a card battle game, so fans of more "traditional" RPG's might find themselves turned off to it.
I picked up God of War recently. Very good game.
Bought Otogi 2 and Timesplitters 3 yesterday.
Haven't been able to play TS3 yet due to my shitty XBOX DVD drive hating it =(

I've been wanting to play that game. I've heard and seen so many good things about it.Originally Posted by Cyberxion

God Of War? I havent heard of this title, possibly not reached our shores yet...
Bought Phantasy Star Online for Gamecube
Broadband adapter for Gamecube
And a Boxed Mario Kart for SNES
Digital Devil Saga for PS2. The game looks awesome. Guess what, I didn't see any of the God of War game being showcased so I asked him if he had any, his reply, "Nope, that game is hard to get." What is up with Minnesota retailers? They're not meeting one gamer's demand over here. First RE:3 was hard to find now God of War. Damnit.

Burninating the peasants
Buriniating all the people

And The Trogdor Comes in The Night.
Well, my roomate's a pretty hardcore RPG player, and he despised that game. So I guess that really does stand to reinforce what I'd said about one's enjoyment of that game being dependant on the player.Originally Posted by Dark Magician
Seriously though, I think it was the nonsensical and mostly arbitrary mechanics of the card battling that was a turn-off, rather then the fact that it was a card battle game at all.
See, the game is entirely too random in it's doling out of the cards, and more often then not, you'll get tons of cards that are completely innefectual, making the battles more a matter of random dumb-luck then skill. It just seemed to us both that had they refined that particular aspect of the game, things would've been far easier to stomach. And being that the card battling aspect is the crux of the gameplay, that's saying something.
That said, I'm not out to shit on those who enjoyed it. It's not a terrible game by any means. It's just my opinion that with a bit of refinement to it's core system, it could've been alot better then it was.
As for God of War, I'm not too sure wether or not that game has hit your shores yet.
It's a pretty hardcore action game, in my opinion one of the better ones to come down the pipe-line in some time. However, if you're not into that sort of game, then this one likely wont go far to convert you. It's worth a look though, so might I suggest you give it a shot when it becomes available?
I'm not sure how it works in your neck of the woods, but the game store I worked at let me check out games, so if you have that option available to you, GoW should definitely grace your PS2.
In last month I have bought Devil May Cry 2, 3 and Star Ocean: Till The End of Time.
Check out the best site in the whole world. hehe Sephires' Site

The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age for GameCube.
Turn based RPG/Adventure. Playing it now.
It's like Final Fantasy battles mixed in with Fable adventuring and weapon/armor style with Diablo style stat system. Awesome.
