Why is my connction slower than usual?
My conection is on dial up, and it used to conect on 53kbps. But lately it has only been conecting at 33. My connection is already slow at 53kb and now at 33!! Anybody know what could have happened? I didnt do anything to the modem settings. Need help with this...

How long ago did you formated you computer? cuz my internet conection will go slower if I don't format it for awhile.

Probably noise on your telephone line or something in your modem busted itself.
Do check whether your telephone line has any noise, humming, or any other interference. This is usually the cause for lower speed connects..

Well thanks for the info!!! I really dont think its the modem, so i guess it should be the phone line. Ill change that old line and hope it works.

You don't really need to change the whole line. It's probably just a loose connection somewhere.

well it could be the actuall phone line conection outside. When it rains at my house mine only connects at half speed and the phone is all fuzzy.

People the line thing doesnt seem to be working, I changed it and everything just goes the same, slow. I wonder what could it be then? could it be my modem, although the whole pc is new
