Because it is annoying. I am pretty sure at least one person in this forum worships God, but I don't see anyone with a jesus sig, the same thing for you, you worship Hitler and add him to your sig and whatnot and it's annoying seeing that stupid picture over and over again. Now the reason they make a big deal out of it is because Hitler wasn't the nicest guy around and I am pretty sure not many people liked/like him. Seeing that picture on your signature just brings back the memories of what he did which in result sometimes leads to anger to those people hence why they make a big deal out of it.

1.They rebuilt faith in the country because they eradicated anyone who didn't believe in their regime, so all that was left was believers.

You forgot the massive Propaganda machine.

2. It protected it's culture because they allowed no one to speak out with new ideas or opinions.

The majority did not want to be assimilated into other cultures, and thus new ideas/opinions were rejected- and yes, those who came up with those enw ideas may or may not have been punished.

3. Most jobs created were probably in the army, his secret police, or the death camps.

The construction of the Autbahn and other massive structures for the use of the Army, etc. was another factor.

4. The Treaty of Versailles was constructed to prevent Germany from getting another army and throwing itself into war again. German people didn't lose their freedom as a result of the Treaty. Germany had to give up some of their land, pay a lot of money, limit their army and navy, and admit guilt. Most of those restrictions were probably given to try and prevent another war. In debt and with a small army, good luck getting a country to start another war. The German leader(s) did sign it, and they got off without a trial.

If you've read anything about the German people and the treaty of Versailles, the majority of people felt that the treaty was extremely demeaning and felt as if Germany was being eradicated slowly- they DID feel that their freedom was being taken away.

This is ironic. I'm studying hitler in school right now. I admire the fact that he was an awesome leader but every other aspect of hitler, I hate. Btw, I don't care what you put in your sig. I could care less if your sig read, Winged 2.0 is a stupid homo. I'm just not affected like that. But I would listen to people that are, but thats just me.

Hitler demands a bit of a hand though. im not all for this whole nazi and hitler business (i put up with it for the sake of my friends ) but he rallied his people into believing there was hope. sure, he did some dumb things, but there are dumber things that are being done now. Anyways, I always have something wrong with people who bash each other for their likes and dislikes. If you're interested in Hitler, do whatever the **** you want about it. If you're interested in videogames, do whatever the **** you want about it. You even have the right to a few pictures here and there. Being that this messageboard does not state anywhere that pictures of Hitler are not accepted, there is nothing wrong with it.

However, there are guidelines. Nudity isn't allowed. Racism isn't allowed (didn't say anything about people who were racist), and prejudices shouldn't be allowed, but no one can get rid of prejudice completely. Hell, we're all a little prejudice.

Now, just as you are allowed what you want within guidelines, others are as well. Just because Fraulein wants to like and study up on Hitler doesn't mean that you should get your underwear in a bunch because you can't understand it.

@Foxhound: telling someone they don't have a life while you yourself are a frequent participator in a webforum that trades emulation, which is the cheap rip-off for actually buying your videogames, is sort of contradicting. Why don't you "keep that crap to yourself?"

Same goes to everyone else. I'm getting sick of people bashing everyone else for what they like, dislike, believe in or everything else. Small squabbles are fine, but we've dealt with the Hitler stuff before and decided that they could keep it because it really isn't that bad.

If it offends you, then lighten up. It's just a bloody picture. You see them in textbooks all the time. And how dare some of you say that her likes are getting "annoying?" You say that her pictures may be offensive yet take no heed at what you say to her? I've known people who snapped after that final step was crossed because someone refer to what they enjoyed as being stupid, inferior and annoying. I doubt Fraulein (I just got used to typing Schutzstaffel!!) will snap, but it's very disrespectful.

And you people call yourself mature. Now, this thread is going to be closed. Clive, I'm surprised you didn't close it sooner. We don't usually accept threads like these, even with the new laxation on spamming rules, and honest to God, it doesn't matter what other people think, Brolli. If you're happy with it, then so be it. No need to advertise it.

Now, we're going to read a compromise: everyone is going to lighten up on Brolli and Fraulein, and Brolli and Fraulein are going to keep their fascinations, obsessions, likes and dislikes to themselves. And so are all of you. Okay?
