Hey guys,
I'm working on a game with a friend and right now our main issue is characters. They will be 2d, but we will use a 3d modelling program and render them as cel-shaded (we are good 2d artists, but animating in 3d is a lot easier). I don't need programs which render cel-shaded images because we already have one (but some more programs will be appreciated). We already found a great modeller (where we both got enough experience) and we can already make what we want.
The problem is that it takes time and that we could do it a faster way. I heard of a feature of 3dsmax, when you put a bmp of the front and side view (and maybe top view, don't know) and creates the model. Well, not exactly the model we need, but we have enough experience to turn it into a decend one. Not only we don't have 3ds Max, but I heard that it's too hard to do that thing in it. I have also heard that there is a program where it does that fast and easy, but the guy who said this didn't know the name, nor the link for it.
As I said, this program is not the only way and we can live without it, but it would definately reduce the time it takes as to create a simple model. So, if you know of a program like that (or at least tutorials on how to do this in 3ds Max, I can get this program if I have to) please let me know.
Any help appreciated
