I am fairly new here. I upload roms quite a bit for emuparadise. What I ment was instead of getting emuparadise to upload huge iso's onto their site (like chrono trigger) we should just host isos on Fserv's in emuparadise's IRC channle. That would save emuparadise alot of money in bandwidth and webspace space.

sure, why not, there are lots of ppl here with broadband or higher connections that could set up fileserver in our chatroom and provide huge downloads for masses. so why not?

can you host a banner in #emuparadise. can you have popups in #emuparadise? can you have vote booths in #emuparadise? no you cant. and these stuff provide us money. so you would have a quality download place (the irc channel) but nobody gets nothing from it. so the webmasters get nothing and all their work straight down the drain.

have a second mind about this before posting anything stupid again...

A. I WORK ON EMUPARADISE U FAGGET. I said serv isos in #emuparadise to save space for N64 roms. With the space it takes to put up 1 psx iso you could put up 20-30 N64 roms. Some people dont even have PSX.

B. you can have pop up's in the IRC channle all u need to do is download a bot.

C. YES YOU CAN HOST BANNERS IN IRC. ILL SHOW YOU HOW SOME TIME IF YOU ARE THAT STUPID.

D. Hardly any people click on those banners that make money for emuparadise anyway. They mite pay 5% of the price of 1 of our FTP servers.

E. The webmaster benefits from this alot. They dont have to pay as much for the bandwidth and the webspace. They can put of a hell of alot more roms to make this by far the best emulation site on the net. Then everyone benefits from the webmasters HARD WORK!

I don't believe this posting deserved some of the comebacks that people have posted. Serving up 'large' isos in IRC is a good idea, serving them up via HTTP isn't a sustainable option thus there is only 1 CD uploaded at the moment.

p.s. i didnt know you are a staff member, nobody told me, but from your words it's clear that you're new here. emuparadise.org has it's loyal fans and members who click on the banners each time and let the popups load.

i'm a staff member of emuparadise for half year, and i've never seen you in our chatroom or here before. and one more thing...we at #emuparadise have a little channel where people come to talk, not just to leech. if we did like you said, brought massive fileservers and all that stuff, #emuparadise would become a download channel filled up with ppl who aint talking shit.

what is your position exacly on emuparadise.org ?

and btw...that stupid psx iso that we posted on the page brought us to top of top66 emu sites list. more people are coming here, because we're the one of rare sites left on the net to host psx isos. lots of 'em now are hosting n64 roms. if every fifth person of people that come to download that iso leaves the popup to load completely, that brings us money.
