mario advance 4: how can i make it run?

i just downloaded mario advance 4 in went to run in the vba 1.7. however, after an opening screen which says "gameboy player", i get a wierd screen that says my saved data is corrupted. noi button i press makes the screen go away for the game to start. simply put, how do i make this game work?

This has been addressed so many times that perhaps we should put an FAQ up for it. At any rate, you need to go into the emulator and change the save type to automatic. It should work then.

sorry i didn't see anything about it. plus, my save type IS automatic already.

Hmmn. How odd. That fixed it for me, back when I had that problem. I guess you'll have to wait for someone more knowledgable then myself to help you out....

i had to patch my sma4 rom to get it to work.

ok, i made it work by changing the save SIZE to "Flash 128KB." the size selector is under the place where u pick the type.
