2 quick questions about mario 64 s final

1. i m stuck at this fucking last fight with bowser, When you hit bowser 2 times, the^platform take a star shaped form, then you have to make bowser turn as usual but you have to launch him very far coz there s no ground for him to bounce, i can t seem to make him turn fast enough, is there a way to throw him far enough to the last bomb or am i missing something.

2. Is there a different ending when you finish having collected all the star?

But After You Get All (120?) Stars, The Grate Outside The Castle opens, It HsA Cannon In it.
you Fire Yerself Onto The Roof, And Yoshi Is There.. HE Gives You 99 Lives

It would of been intresting if you were able to get on yoshi in Mario 64.
