I didnt like it one bit as its ancient and my pc fully clears the specs and it looks like junk however I configure it. There was a fabled patch or something but I have the game of the year edition and when I finally found the patch it wasnt compatible tith the GOTY edition.

So basically that was 3 wasted.. and at the time I thought 3, how could that be a waste!! (how wrong I was)

Deus Ex always runs slow. It's UT with added stuff so it runs best on Glide.

    However with these specs:
    700mhz Duron
    384mb Ram
    GF2MX 32mb

You can run it at 800 x 600 @ 32bit at an okay frame rate with everything turned on full.

well your specs are the problem right there. first of all you need faster prossesor and (boy do you) need a better graphics card.

Here are the specs to perfect performance:

    1 GHZ P4 or Duron
    384Mb Ram
128mb graphics card Radion or Gforce card equivilant to 128Mb Radion

These were my old specs on my former PC B4 I uppgraded.

However since i did upgrade, My new PC runs Deus Ex Flawlessly:
    Duron +2500 (1.8-2.0 GHZ)
    785Mb Ram
    256 MB Radion XT

the first specs i suggested, it should run just fine.

(Back to the Topic of thread)
another one of my favorite moments:
Go up to one of the cigarette machines and buy the whole machine out and smoke all the cigarettes and die.
(hehehe, this game demonstrates a good message : SMOKING CAUSES CANCER!!!)

I never said I had any problems, I said that it ran okay with those specs. Anyway if you still have an old Voodoo 3 lying around anywhere it'll look better on that then a GF2 Ultra. (However not better than it looks on a GF3).

There are modded renderers available for this game btw - which are much better than the ones that were included with the game. Forgot the link to them now, but a google search for them should suffice.
