Umm yeah. I would like to point out how moronic it is to wait for your current 2 biggest buildings (standing proud like a nice target) to get destroyed by terrorists, then go and build another building to be even more proud of and will therefor look like an even nicer target.

Lurn the lesson dammit. Also the taller the building the harder it is to escape in an emergency.

It's obvious George Dubya was the mastermind behind the naming. I still can't believe he said "The question is: Is the children learning?"

He needs to learn something himself. Being as retarded as he is, dont you think GW is just a puppet or some horrible mistake of nature?

1st of all, I can already tell you're not american.

Okay yeah, so lets let the Terrorists either under your plan think,

Hey we knocked downt the building and they didn't rebuild it.

    TERRORISTS WIN

    or THe American way,

Hey, we knocked it down and they built a better one.

See what I mean. Not rebuilding would let the terrorists win. All I can tell so far is this is an George bush/America bashing thread. Now not that I like George bush either but some of your comments I find offensive.

I find that rather stupid....The freedom tower. What freedom is this that we stand for (yes I'm american)? Are we standing for the freedom we give to people from life by killing them?

9/11 was a horrible tragedy. The thing that bothers me is people don't think about why it happened. Because we love freedom and those evil terrorists hate it? That make a lot of sense....

Perhaps the way the USA gets ahead by taking advantage of everyone else and allowing them the pleasure of staying in poverty....

Apart from that, it doesn't make a lot of sense to build a really really high building. Do we need to feel like we're cool and superior because we have a really tall building. not to mention the safety threats that it poses to the people working there.

Meh. I just dislike Bush. I'm all for rebuilding a new tower or two.
Haha, as I'm typing this, they are doing a news segment on it.

so its more a matter of childish one upsmenship. really thats how i see it. i can see tem simply wanting to rebuild it, but calling it the freedom tower is simply asking for them to come after it.

[EDIT: it aint supposed to be about winning or losing is what im gettin at. its simpy about moving on]

this is how u sum it up:
    terrorists"dare you to build it"
bush"fine, done. dare ya to knock it down"
    to be continued

    its ridicualous in my opinion.....
