it IS true.
Currently, our 'entertainment system" has the normal remote which just changes channels, another for the VCR and the other for the DVD player.
thats it.
However, we used to have two orange pliars to change channels on our old TV not too long ago because the knobs fell off.

those were good days.

I dont have an awful amount of remotes - one for the TV, one for the stereo. I used to have one for the VCR, but threw it away because it ran out of batteries and was crap.

I didn't really find anything particularly funny about the cartoon. It's message rings true however. I have a remote for just about everything in my apartment, and have to keep them in thier own drawer, so as not to loose track of them. I would say I have close to 12 remotes, all told.

I have two remotes in my room...on the other hand, for the family room, there's a remote for the TV, two for the satellite, one for the VCR, one for the DVD player, one for the stereo, and another for the CD player.
