    Default T.H.U.G vs. THPS4

I think tony hawk underground was a bit of a let down, and it pales in comparison to THPS4, it hasnt many levels, the levels arnt very good and the new stuff added isnt too great. I have completed both you see and tony hawk 4 is much better, does any1 agree with me?
So if any1 is going to buy it you might wanna test it first, u know u dont hav to but overall TH4 is a bit better

it is, just not as gd as TH4, it has less levels, the graphics are about the same, the gameplay is thesame, the trick creator and the create-a-skater isnt greate either. I mean u dont have to think what i think (of course) but try them both out and i think u will find 4 is better

i always like THPS 2 for N64. everything rocked about it, especially how the skateboarder doesn't turn a million fast on spins like the newer ones do

THUG improves on THPS4 as much if not more than THPS4 did on THPS3, THPS3 on THPS2 and THPS2 on THPS1. It's the subtle differences in trick animations that only a skateboarder would notice . Walking around is a nice (although gimmicky) touch. One major flaw in THUG is the one tap to pressure, TWO taps to nollie, whereas it should be the other way around.

EDIT: !! Plus it's got School 2 from THPS2, which is pretty much the best TH level of all time.

i don't have thps4,but i've played it at a friend's house...but i definately prefer my t.h.u.s to it,maybe i'm more used that game, and it wasn't nearly as fun as trying thps4 out for the first time, that too it being my only experience of the game.
that said, i'm not really into the tony hawk series or any sport game for that matter.also, you should've created a poll fo this

I have both THPS4 and T.H.U.G, and I have to say I like T.H.U.G's setup and gameplay alot more then THPS4. Though similar to THPS4, T.H.U.G's mission structure through story mode is alot more entertaining in my opinion, and the game eases you into things very naturally. I was able to get my roomate, who sucks at THPS games to enjoy T.H.U.G because after awhile of playing story mode, he was able to pull off some seriously kick-ass combo's.

And I have to agree with NBS about the School II level. It's my all time favorite level, and I'm glad to see it back.

its not like im not saying its not a good game, it was just too easy, the only challenging level was the final one where you had to do the same run as that bastard Eric. I just think that TH4 had alot more too offer.
The Tony Hawk games would be better if you could change the difficulty level

But that would mess it all up.

Hey Wind Waker...you can change the difficulty level on T.H.U.G dude. When you start up a new game in story mode, it asks you to select your difficulty. If you found the game too easy, then perhaps selecting a tougher difficulty might do the trick.

And Solitude, THPS is one of those games that you really don't have to be into sports to enjoy. I remember playing a demo of the first game years ago and falling love with the gameplay, despite the fact that I was never more then a semi-amature skater in real life (meaning I was shit...), nor was I ever a sports game fan. I found the game to be easily accessible, not to mention very fun, and I've followed the series ever since.
I reccomend it to people who enjoy entertaining games, and the sports aspect should take a back seat to the uber-fun gameplay. It's just an insanely fun game.

Nah, you pretty much have to start all over man. Which will unlock new features on higher difficulties, so it's kinda worth it. Plus, the game is just pure fun, so it's not like it's a chore to go through and play it at a higher difficulty.

THPS4 is my favourite, and it`s a really hard game too. I`ll get THUG after christmas.

I used to like Tony Hawk games...but they just bore me now. They just all seem to be too similar to spend money on a newer version.
