    Default N64 ROMs Not Working!

I just Downloaded two N64 games, Hey You Pikachu and Army Men: Sarges Hero's 2 but they would not work at all, I tried to play and they wouldn't work.

Anyone Please help me get these Files to work.

I got them from the N64 ROMs Section.

Hey you Pikachu requires a Microphone in order to work... unfortunately no voice recognition plugin has been made, nor is being made.

The 2nd one, should work fine - try Glide64 + Evoodoo.

I'll move this into the correct forum for you btw.

You probably have to Unrar the rom first.

You also need the newes version of WinRAR because I couldn't get it to work with an old one, but it worked with the newest one.

Sigh.. and to think that all the N64 roms have a WinRAR link right under them. I get some 10 questions about this every day..

Erm... you have got an emulator haven't you? Download PJ64/1964 from emutalk.net (or check to see if they are in the emuparadise downloads section).

The rom is like a cartridge which reqires the console to play. The emulator is like the console for the rom. You can get Project 64 here.

Then could you be a little more informative on telling us what the problem is. Tell it to use like we have NO idea what you are talking about because I don't.

Ok, what I get from your post is that you downloaded it, unrar'red it and it turned out to be just a FILE. Well, you are to use that file with an emulator and the game should start provided you configured everything right.
If it's not starting then you're probably experiencing some technical error, if you could tell us that in more detail maybe we could help ?

    Ok, here it is.

I Downloaded Hey You, Pikachu from the N64 ROMs section.

    Unzipped it with WINrar.

Tried to Open the game with Project 64.

Project 64 said that It was not Named Correctly or something like that and said I should use some Program called GOODN64.

I followed Instructions and Got Goodn64.

Went through the steps to make it a readable file for the Emulator Project 64, but it woulnt read it as well.

Now I am here Tring to get help on how to Make this Game a File that the Pj64 Will read and RUN!

STOP TRYING TO RUN "Hey you, Pikachu" - As I said above - it doesn't work, and most likely will never work (without a Mic plugin, of which their isn't one).

Anyways, once you using Good64 (and most likely Goodwindows) it would have renamed the file for you - if the renamed file has a (b) at the end of it, it's a bad rom. If it has a (!) it's a good one.

Still no point in running it though.
