converting mp3 files

is there any freeware program that converts mp3 files into wav or any other non mp3 cd format?thx in advance
note-please don't give me the links to the program,coz it might come under the catagory of warez

Winamp is good for converting soun formats.

that's my favorite actually, can encode in most of any formats, and it has a nice interface (well it's not that bad actually), it just doesn't like laptops very much... tried to use it on my cousins laptop and it always gave me blank files... but other than that it's probably one of the best

Yes. I have Winamp 2 you can d/l output plugins. You go to file prefernces and then output and you can select what you want to output the file as.
