Does someone have an explanation of why vgs does not work in a pentium 4 pc?

Dunno . .email the programmers about it. maybe they have an explanation.
"Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music."
Are you sure it's your Pentium 4 causing this? What version of Windows do you have? If you have Windows 2000 or NT this might be preventing it from running. Try using ePSXe, It's a much better emulator.
It can't be. My uncles comp runs vgs fine and he has a Celeron pro. and Windows 2000 ME.

Celeron Pro isn't Pentium 4. And he has Windows 2000, and Win ME on the same comp??
I have win 98 install in a pentium 4 pc, I am using bleem! but it is still a point to solve
I have a problem. Gran Turismo 2 doesn't work on Bleem!. Does anyone know a site to download the FULL version of VGS ?
Another problem. I have installed ePSXe but the thing keeps asking for the bios file scph1001.bin and I don't have that file. Does anyone know where I can get that file?
My friend Djesiret has the same problem on his pentium 4 actually. for some reason VGS reguires a pentium 3 class processor to run, and weirdly enuff failes to recognize a pentium 4 as being an equivalent or better. My suggestion would be to try ePSXe as well. Also the bios for psx can be found on a few sites i have seen...just do a google search for "psx bios rom"
No. Just Windows ME. I was saying that Windows ME isn't the problem. It had to be the processor.
The bios is the down part to epsxe, but I did find it at a site called Bioscity or Biocity. But I don't remember the url.

Bios can be downloaded @ http://website.lineone.net/~ashray/scph1001.zip OR http://website.lineone.net/~ashray/scph1000.zip
You can get the full VGS 1.41 @ http://www.emuparadise.org/downloads...ws/cvgs141.exe
Have phun!
Hwy, Dr_Ackula said that VGS needs Pentium 3 or equivelant to run. If so my old PC must be VERY odd because I had a Cyrix 120mhz MMX but VGS worked with it. It was slow, jerky and the sound was screwed up but it did work. Isn't that odd? Of course, it works FINE on my new AMD Duron 900mhz.
VGS doesn't support pentium 4 and will not be officially because the emulator has been stopped, but let's see to http://www.aldostools.com . There a link to a unofficial patch to support VGS with P4, but I haven't tried it yet. (I'm not crazy and rich, i bought a Athlon, more performant and much less expensive )))
