I've thought about buying from steam a while back but the thought of using their launcher and having to be online concerned me so I stayed away from them. I tend to go for gog releases of games since most times their complete and they are simple to install with no internet required.
gog also doesn't have the same level of low effort copy paste shovelware that steam does either.

Having trouble logging lately, I've also noticed the server is too busy error still shows up from time to time. Yeah Having to be online to play games, even single player is pretty lame of Steam. It is a nice store and all, but yeah, you even have to be online first to go into steam's offline mode, its weird.

At least with GOG, you can play the games offline and don't need an internet connection what so ever as long as you have the full game downloaded. The only downside to GOG is it can take a long time for some games to come to its store, where steam will have new releases on the day of release. Also, I don't see any Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy on GOG, but I guess they could be be on GOG at some point.

masj was looking into some things a few days ago so that might be related to it. good to know about that I'm glad I stayed away from steam then. yeah it can take a while for games to get to gog which does suck a bit but it's worth it to have drm free games.

Depends on the game. GOG has allowed questionable stuff when it comes to DRM and other aspects.

Steam is the way to go if someone wants to play newer games, get them close to release, or play MP. Multiplayer components are frequently butchered for GOG releases or segregated (between Steam and GOG). I've never given Valve a dime but, it's the way it is .

Are all the guests just reading the Hangouts now? Some of them have over a million views somehow...
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

I have to check the "Remeber Me" box for me to login, hopefully this issue gets fixed. Also, yeah Steam is good for new releases and multiplayer, though I hardly ever play multiplayer. Having DRM free games is always nice. Also, more games on Steam have achievements, though some people don't care about that. Still the best is physical as long as the full game is on the disc or cart, as I said previously.

Two-ply tin foil hats block the government mind-control radio but not the subliminal audio frequency government mind-control TV broadcasts.

And two-ply tin foil hats do block the government mind-control radio. Use only heavy-duty brands.

    https://www.scientificamerican.com/a...ntrol-by-cell/

But still, taking a sledgehammer to your TV is the only way to stop the government mind-control subliminal audio frequencies.

Another layer of mind-control is that news catering to both political parties that are polarized have the same central script writer and are broadcasting the same government mind-control subliminal audio frequencies.

Conan did a whole series on it.

    Left-wing, right-wing or chicken wing you're being mind-controlled.
