Not bad for an unfinished game. I think I heard that Ion Fury was good from a fan of that style of FPS but it's been a while and might've been something else.

This is why I try to collect physical as much as possible. Also, making sure the full game is on the disc or cart. This is why emulation is important, it preserves gaming.

got around to checking ion fury today. I will admit my expectations were a bit high going into it but I'm not disappointed(so far). This game is duke nukem 3d at it's core everything that made duke 3d good and fun this game has.
The levels are bigger 2 part levels for the most part it has that nice fast paced arcade action some platforming pretty good enemy ai and balanced difficulty(so far not really any cheap shots or pop in) health, armor and ammo are in good supply.
the only criticism I have(again so far) is the VA I am warming up to the female VA a bit but she still doesn't feel like a good fit thankfully you can turn the va off in the options. Overall this game feels like the duke nukem forever we SHOULD have gotten. I really hope these guys make another game this good.

the same as duke 3d, they're smooth. I did forget to mention but like most new(er) games it has controller support. I found that secrets are a bitch to find I've only found some of them by pure chance.

There are still some good modern games. True the classics did come out long ago. Try the Yakuza/Like a Dragon games, they are some more modern games that bang.

I might try some of the newer Yakuza games at some point but I've got loads to go through . Do the new Hitman games have a story? I tried the original a long while ago and didn't care for it.

Yeah it's basically continous through all three but not really a big deal. And you can play them all through the Hitman 3 client which slightly changed some gameplay elements and minor graphical tweaks which is retroactive to 1 and 2.
