Cool Things to do with PC and PS2...

    Hi there,

I am having a P4 2.4 Ghz PC and a PS2, so was just thinking whether there is a way to connect both of them and do stuff.... ....like saving/transferring all the saves from me memory card to me Hard Disk and or any other stuff.....

    Any Ideas....???

Edit: I think this should go the General Gaming forum, but things seem to have moved here and there lately and I have not been able to find General GAming Forum as I am visiting after like a couple of weeks or so....

I think you are just bored. If you want to keep yourself entertained and learn something at the same time, get the PS2 Linux kit. Then install Linux on your PC as well and you can network them together and use your PS2 as a server or something like that. That ought to keep you occupied for a little while.

Nope. I just want "MORE" out of my PS2 and my new PC..... and that linux thing will cost me a fortune (like I think $100 or something) and it won't be of much use to me coz I just wanna keep me PS2 a "Playstation" and not a "Workstation".....

I just wanted to know if there is a way to transfer all my saves from the PS2 memory card to the PC Hard Disk.....coz that will save me money for buying a new memory card.....I don't mind buying an "addon" or something like an adapter that will do the trick coz that will be a one-time investment.....

OR anything that can be done with the PS2 and a hi-fi PC WITHOUT costing a fortune...

    Thanx in Advance.....

    Bye for now....

you might be able to buy something for your computer that'll read PS2 mem cards, but it would probly cost more than 3-5 PS2 mem cards, so its not really worth it.

    alright..
there is this thing called X-Port..
it was made by the guys that made action replay..
you hook it to your ps2's usb slot and to your pc's usb..
    install the software and voila..
    two way memory card..
now the price is i think 39 usd..
and you can't save directly from the game into your pc but you can transfer files to and from the pc..
as well as dowload files from the internet..
there's alot of game saves on gamefaqs.com..
    in case you get it..
