I see. I have a couple 8TB SAS drives coming in the mail, they should be here tomorrow.

They're going in a sibling's media tower for BD storage assuming the drives are healthy. I think it should be enough to fit all of them but I don't have an up to date count. Full images because re-encoding would take a while unless I picked up new HW. I'll probably strip most or all of them down to movie only once things are ripped.

I don't think you're likely to encounter an HDD with a faked size. I check SMART and run some file transfers and call it good if there aren't any problems.

It's only really ssd hdd that might have fake size. Inside the case it's a tiny usb drive plus a metal slab for weight

The ad is still up, I remembered incorrectly, the box claims it's an external HDD for $55.
