Valve will probably clearance and then discontinue the original models if they release a successor at some point. If Valve doesn't can it out of the blue the used price should eventually go down.

Have you tried any of the continuation of Dark Forces like Jedi Knight and Jedi Knight Outcast??? Dunno if there was more after that...umm maybe academy?

I couldn't get into Dark Forces. Beat Rites of War today .

My mistake, I presumed the lead times were still long since people are paying over retail for them .

At one point in time they definitely were. A lot of it too was people were being put on the reserve list for them as well lol. I'm thankful they opened it up completely to anyone who wanted to buy one.
