so it looks like it's impossible to finish call of cthulhu dark corners of the earth. you literally can't run fast enough to escape I've tried 5 times now with the same results I even checked a guide and was doing everything right according to the guide
but I keep getting crushed in the same damn spot. I'm right at the end too the game has a good story but damn there's too many frustrating parts.

started playing clive barkers undying(out of pure frustration) it's mediocre maybe just as bad as gore ultimate soldier was.
I was going to check out gorky 17 but I was mislead about that game might just have to check out dsymantle or maybe one of the other games i haven't installed yet.

The Evil Within 2 is pretty good, I only played the 2nd, Unfortunately I don't think you could run it but maybe the first one?

unfortunately no. I did find a mod for the game that would allow cheating but it's only for the retail version of the game which i don't have I have the gog version.

the controls kinda bug me there's no reload button or an interact button. it feels like the game lacks direction(at least so far)like it wants to be an action horror mystery but it's lacking puzzles and action

I have played the first on ps3 but didn't get to finish it due to a game breaking bug(the game bugged out and I was trapped on a ladder that i couldn't get off) that game is one that really needs to be played with a controller so it is something to think about.
but when I did play it, it kinda freaked me out like when I played silent hill 3 or that other one on ps2(I can't remember the name I think it was a psp port)
just check and no I can't run the evil within it has a core i7 minimum and is 52gb(with all dlc, 32gb without dlc)

there's 1 or 2 on ps2 that I played briefly but can't remember what they were called or if they had pc ports.
it's more of a curiosity thing since I've seen tons of WW2 fps games out there.

Battlefield Vietnam. 2004 so would probably run well for you. The single player campaign doesn't sound too in depth though, like just taking checkpoints over and over until you finish a map.
