I wouldn't put up with it if it's bad. It could be the GPU, pulling that would be the quickest way to confirm.

Coil whine out of the box isn't normal. My suggestion would be to return it. You can build a much better computer with better parts the price you paid for a prebuilt and you'll most likely save money.

It might be normal if the power supply is maxed out? Like its normally recommended to get a oversize power supply (like maybe 20-50% bigger than your min requirements). But if your PC requires something like 410 watts, and they cheaped out and made exactly a 410 watt supply that's redlining constantly, maybe it'll hum.

I checked general prices when he first posted and it'd end up at a similar cost with how the market is at the moment. I was figuring 32GB and not skimping on most parts though.

Everyone keeps saying this. Yet, when I've looked around, I'm finding if I was trying to spend $1500 or less, the parts are coming up closer to $1800. I referred to various sites that had builds ranging from $1000-1500 but when I individually looked up the parts, the cost was more than their total.

See, this was happening like... right out of the box. Before I even installed Steam. And it is happening currently with only Firefox open.I am fairly certain the computer I returned this morning wasn't doing this.

I just want something that will play current games at good quality. Like Elden Ring, WWE2K22, etc...

Last gen consoles have those games. A cheap PS4 with 9.00fw then exploit, spend $0 on games.

The other issue I'm having with building my own is I am so it of tune with current tech. I don't know what's a good video card or processor or anything. So many choices.
