I should have added this to my initial question. would adding a gpu improve frame rates with the low end cpu?

The GTX/HD xxxx cards might be pushing it. You could underclock/volt them but no point paying more. A GT 720 would probably be good enough but I wouldn't pay $20. Impossible to know which configuration it is unless they're willing to check and I doubt many ebay sellers would.

would a raedon equivalent be as good or a good choice?

An Amnish forest gnome wizard would have adapted to urban life and decided to be an Urchin thief instead of a Sage to steal healing potions. I have a wizard variant character to create in BG3, be right back.

Edit: Asian forest gnome from Kara-Tur like Yoshimo the ninja bounty hunter in BG2 would be different than an Amnish forest gnome and would visit Amn to sell or buy items. As I mentioned above, the more healing potions a wizard has the more wizardly drinking them after an invisibility spell to watch your summoned monsters attack unseen is. So, getting an Urchin five finger discount on healing potions is wizardly too and being able to sneak is why you're a rarely seen gnome.

Bonus: she wears a kimono wizard robe



Edit: a party slot for a standard rogue versus mind flayers is silly but watching mind flayers eat rogue brains while you're unseen and invisible is cinematic.

Gnomes have huge hands, otherwise they could not wield quarterstaves as wizards or two-handed weapons in a warrior class because they are small fey creatures more fairy than halfling. Small creatures normally can't wield large human or giant weapons, gnomes rule the munchkin roost with their proportions.

Speaking of theory, to me life in the cosmos is simply a delayed star formation chemistry process. Which solves the Fermi paradox, probability mathematics suggest alien life is abundant but where is it? The answer is simple, binary systems after 'intelligent life' starforms its planet in its distant future with perfected nuclear weapons. There may therefore not be aliens to contact but those that don't starform their planet are smarter than humans hence why I cited NDT.

The lower the better seeing as it's ancient. It was a $50 part almost a decade ago.
