With all the RE remakes I'd love to see RE Outbreak remade.

that's what I thought too. I really think that'd do well now compared to when it first got released.

You may want to have a floor fan blowing on the PS3 when you use it. I don't know if Sony fixed the cooling issues of the first gen. PS3s when they released the non-BC fats (which is what I'm sending).

I didn't think about it till today but does the blue-ray and bluetooth still work?

gonna see about talking to the guy my tv came from (he's a relative) see if he can find the leg stands for it and/or at least the ac adapter. I'd like to not have to buy a universal stand mount for it.

It's functional; I didn't test the ethernet or the analog output but seems unlikely they're busted when the rest works. No PSN since I installed Rebug, aside from PSN I think all the PS3 game servers are dead. You have a controller, right? I forgot to ask but I'm pretty sure you do .

If you have the tools and correct screws for the mounting point you could build something with wood scraps.

yeah I do I have a wired and a wireless(maybe another one but I think it had stick drift) aftermarket ones aren't expensive so if I need another one I can probably get one for $15-$20 maybe less.

You don't need network for anything, copy games from ext USB. Standard Rebug install would've had issues (iirc) if BD or BT boards were faulty.
BD laser is a different thing, but honestly you don't need it at this point unless you're dumping discs.
If you wanna play BD video discs then any random cheap BD player will do, at work we sell working units with remote for like $20aud max usually... unless it's something really special.

eg just the other day: Samsung BD/PVR with 250GB HDD, 3D BD capable with remote, HDMI and component outputs $20aud
Above unit is PVR but doesn't have any extra inputs like scart or whatever.

If it was a similar thing but like Panny then maybe a bit more $ but not much.
BD recorder with input options then yeah it's going to be more for sure.

You can fix stick drift there are small boards you can buy cheap to correct that, no need to replace the whole stick unless it's totally fucked up.

Stand/legs for the tv: just modify and use something from a scrap tv.
Even just a wall mount and then weld up a metal stand from scrap

    Some additional info here:

4.82 is installed and you could easily update to 4.86. I wouldn't bother changing to another CFW, doing the PSN spoofing stuff, or mucking with the pad plugin myself. I would suggest installing the toolbox, toggling QA, dumping stuff, and most of the others.

Most people don't have welding equipment laying around . My dad had some but didn't keep it safe from mice.
