Yeah I've only been using this docked so far.
But as I said the joycons are still uncomfortably small and awkward on a grip.
For a cheap dock there's a tiny PD/HDMI adapter you can get that is around $5. It has USB-C PD port (100w), HDMI (supposedly 4k) an a single USB (might only be 2.0 idk) port.
It isn't an actual dock it's a small aluminium adapter that can be used for other devices besides Switch. So all you really need to get is the official Switch PSU.
I might grab one of those as a spare for bedroom tv.

Pulling the trigger today and getting the Retroid Pocket 3. I've done too much investigating in these handheld things. Steam Deck, I have on reserve but I'm not sure still. I feel like I'd love it, but I'd rather wait to see if it succeeds enough to make a newer one. Odin looks cool, but PS2 emulation is said to not be totally great yet, and TBH the price is just too high to where I'd rather just get a deck at that point.
RP3 is cool to me for several reasons. It can play PSP, which I have never played, and Dreamcast and below which is awesome. The other thing I like is the ability to use steam link on it, which I could get behind. And at $130(I'll get the RAM upgrade), it is a great introduction for me to these handheld emulators. Has anybody else gotten the RP3?
