Great haul for sure even if the Switch can't be saved.

I contacted the guy that repaired my XSX and he seems confident that he can repair it, he says he does several of them every day. Mostly it's just the USB charge port that is wrecked even if it still looks ok, apparently, but also there are some chips associated with the charging circuit that are sometimes bad.

He gave me a quote range from just the USB port right up to doing that plus all the chips. I might get back to him in a couple of weeks and get it done
Basically it should work out to be a working Switch for the price of a dead tablet only ... although this set is missing the packaging, those little slide things that go on the joy-cons and also the comfort grip.

watched a couple decent to good movies recently.
forbidden world was a decent sci-fi horror something funny about that movie that you notice during the opening scenes is they used 3 of the same spaceships from battle beyond the stars. the movie itself seems unconnected to BBS.
the reluctant astronaut was a good and fun comedy starring Don Knots.
The Andromeda strain was also a good and interesting movie, it's about scientist trying to figure out what caused the death of an entire desert town. I would recommend it.

I finished Dirty Pair Flash earlier this week. The first OVA is the only one with continual plot, then only loosely in 2, and back to the original formula in 3. I enjoyed the series a lot overall, if the BDs are a reasonable price after release then I'll grab them at some point. I suppose it's back to Shadow Skill and maybe starting on DNA again.

got around to putting my laptop back away and setting up my speakers again.
also decided to check out deadly premonition it's kinda like and RE or Silent hill type game it's not what I was expecting(I also thought it was newer than it is) I need to play it longer to really give an opinion on it.
lately I just haven't been able to really get into any games.

I've heard it's extremely buggy and runs poorly. Might be another game I'm thinking of.

sadly yes. I ran into one of the bugs twice already(there fix for it is to run it in xp compat mode but that can possibly mess up aiming) and I had read there are other game breaking bugs later in the game and potential save file corruption that can occur later in the game.
I did see it mentioned that there's a ps3 version so I might just drop the pc version for that(if I can find it or remember) The game is boderline interesting but there's a lot of dialog and cut scenes(so far from what I've played) but it does have that classic RE,SH type puzzles and item collecting the action sequences kinda suck you don't get much time to hit the right buttons(that might have been an fps problem and not a game mechanic)
