Is that Pokemon Red CiB mint? $300 is crazy, I wouldn't pay that but I'm not interested in pokemon.

I traded away some AU pokemon loose carts a while back, think it was pre-covid. Was either Gypsy or Shard that I traded with I can't remember now

    lol gamesmen

I usually only get new stuff from them when they do sale/clearance.

I did get Biohazard 2 N64 loose cart from them a while back but only because it's easier than trying to get Japanese sellers to ship to AU...
Japan Post wouldn't do air parcels (I haven't checked recently if it's still like that) so the options were DHL and expensive shit like that.

With gamesmen used stuff always make sure you ask for detailed pictures of the actual item for sale. Don't be afraid to nitpick when you receive it, they are pretty good about listing errors and stuff like that.
I've got extra DLC codes and stuff from them due to listing errors, take screenshots and/or pics for evidence. If you're organised about documenting your purchases they are cool and don't try to argue their way out of it.

Also I recommend buying through their ebay store not their own site. It's just extra cover for cases of discrepancies with items.

If you really need that cart I would just get it loose. It isn't htf, I've had a few over the years but traded them... it's possible I might still have one cart but a lot of my stuff is boxed up in storage.
    Too much stuff

Actually found the box with GB stuff

    I've got:

    Pokemon Red (JPN)
    Pokemon Silver (JPN)
    Pokemon Gold (AUS)
    Pokemon Silver (AUS)
    Pokemon Special Pikachu Edition (AUS)
    Pokemon Blue (AUS)
    Pokemon Red (AUS)
    Pokemon Crystal (AUS)

All loose carts, no horribly wrecked labels. Haven't checked the save batteries recently.

    Edit:

Also; Pokemon Pinball (AUS) - missing battery cover

Yeah if you look on ebay au the bin prices and auctions for Red are dumb. There's an auction that finishes tomorrow with genuine au cart but the box and manual are repro... the bids have already gone to high for what it is imo.

Loose cart with new battery you might be able to get for like $50-60 but you would probably need to watch a bin that is around $70 or more and hope you see an offer, and then get it before someone else does
Otherwise you have to be actively looking for it as much as you can and hope you spot a bargain before someone else buys it. This is what I do with a lot of things on ebay, but it's a lot of work.

Most of the best bargains I get are via one of my jobs.
    Spoiler warning:
Sometimes something interesting pops up and gets a price put on it which is below ebay equivalent sold listings. Then I get 20% off that. Sometimes I can haggle a good deal if I'm getting a bunch of things at once, especially if the day/week/month takings have been really good.
Disc based stuff I can get a load of stuff free if it's like out of region, scratched disc, loose good disc with nothing else (like from CD wallet)... with this scenario you might think it's a waste of time but after 6+ years I've got some good titles complete by using different parts. It helps that I've got the space to store a fair bit of stuff
Carts I can sometimes get for virtually nothing if they don't work. I got GoldenEye N64 AU that didn't work, when I got home I stripped it down and gave it a thorough proper clean. It works fine. Bunch of Atari 2600 carts that wouldn't work but now do.
Japanese and US stuff I've got some cool things that didn't really cost anything, like super famicom console with no accessories. Got it as junk because "no way to test this". Works fine.
It helps that I test & tag the electrical along with 2 other people, so I can fish out some stuff before it gets sent to e-waste
Got 2x Panasonic plasma tv's that way although with them it's policy to not sell them (along with crt's, I've got a couple of small ones of those as well, one was brand new still boxed). Both plasmas have remotes, no screen burn and one had the manual as well.

There's a guy at Garden City that does reasonably priced stuff.
I'm happy with Flash carts ATM, the only boxed stuff I really want is on Master system, which isn't THAT popular...

Master system ED clone I got was pretty cheap (second cheapest flashcart iirc, MD is cheapest). Not sure if there are any local sellers for that though.
I got that clone from aliexpress like most of my other clones. GDEmu clone I got locally. You should be able to get GB/C clone flashcart locally.

Dunno if you're interested in Atari 2600 but there's a guy on ebay (or was last time I checked) in the UK that ships UNOcart to Aus, he updates it before sending. That's where I got mine from.

The REST aren't that bad... Considering I'm paying $300 for Pokemon Red...

I earn a decent wage, I just fucking hate spending money...
7k+ to get braces for my daughter, got another 10k+ bill in 2 years time when apparently I'm buying Subaru's for both kids when they can drive...

Parenting sucks balls... And don't get me started on private education.... Biggest fucking scam.
You could try and buy an Analog Pocket and Super nt if you could find them for a low enough price (probably not). Buy one car and tell them to share ?
