For SATA SSDs I think it's down to Crucial and Samsung if you want DRAM (consistent performance).
the samsung evo 870 500gb model is nicely priced at $39.99 that would match the 500gb I'm currently using

Performance is probably about the same as the MX500 since you're limited by SATA performance. I wish that manufacturers would migrate SAS into the mainstream or push a new SATA revision . Indeed, it did okay for what it is. Intel equivalents would be just as bad, likely worse on the integrated graphics performance.

Really was not a fan at all of how TIGHT the famicom to nes adapter gripped the carts. Ended up getting a solid deal on a modded US top loader for $110.

SATA SSDs are more than NVME now as far as I know (for DRAM drives) . Around $48 - $50 for SATA and a few bucks less for NVME. Probably give or take a few bucks depending on where you're buying.

watched battle beyond the stars. that movie hit the spot it was fun, it had everything a good sci-fi movie should. space ships, space travel, aliens and lasers oh and talking computers
finished the last of the dlc for dysmantle the rewards were a bit lackluster the rewards may have been more useful much earlier in the game(and some should have been part of the base game) but they just weren't useful to me. I'm not saying the dlc was bad(except for having to activate useable devices to kill one particular type of enemy) the map itself was huge almost too big for just three dedicated areas(technically 4)the only boss was a complete pushover once I activated the device I had him dead in 3-4 power hits I don't even remember getting hit.
well now I can move on to something else I'm planning on checking out metro 2033 now, I "should" be able to run it without problems but we'll see

not much in the way of gfx adjustment options in metro. it runs well enough but still a bit slow even on low settings understandably so with all that's being rendered on screen(npcs, lights, smoke ect)
the game is proving to be harder than I expected and I basically just got started.

watched escape from NY. kinda meh I was expecting more action.
metro is really proving to be difficult and not really in a bs way either(like call of juarez the cartel god I hated that game) I managed to get through the first surface trip in moscow now I have to rescue my partner or get through a bandit controlled area
I'm not really sure. I'm also having trouble deciding whether to swap one of my current guns for the ak my revolving shot gun is the only one that doesn't have mods.

I was never a big fan of the Metro games. Tried a couple but fizzled out not too far in. Not bad at fps games but not good either. Think DL likes those games

I'm not all that good at fps games either. I almost quit playing this one. using stealth to get past the bandits was hard the game really needed a quick save feature instead of the check point system. the game is starting to have a bit of stalker feel to it.
