I exchanged the HP I got for the third time, only for it to give the same diagnostics failure on USB in the UEFI. I talked to an HP guy on the phone and he helped me check and make sure my BIOS was up to date(it is). Ultimately, my choice came down to sending it in to check it out, return it and move on, or just keep it since everything is working fine on it despite this weird error. HP's site https://hpcsgen.hpcloud.hp.com/eas-portal/ let me enter my error I M4QFN0-B6EB6H-QF8X1G-8D1E03

I have tested these things and everything works. The HP guy even acknowledged it may be a false error. Three computers in a row give the same "hardware failure"... seems unlikely.
I have another week and a half to return it for a refund and am testing it out in any way I can. It plays Elden Ring at max settings beautifully. I like this computer a lot. I know people are saying I could build a cheaper one, but when I played around with PC part picker, I wasn't finding as good a deal or as powerful; my budget was around $1500 and I got this for $1350. I am several years out of the loop on technology, I admit, so I may not understand some things as well.

At any rate, this PC has met my needs and I am hoping it will work out. I don't feel bad about the price, either. Even if it wasn't the absolute best deal, it did fit within my personal goals. I paid for this, my 32 inch curved monitor, keyboard, mouse(when I find one), new desk and external hard drive with video games I sold on eBay auctions. All the games I sold so far, I paid under $100 total when I bought them.
Whatever works for you. I'm too picky to consider a prebuilt unless it's significantly cheaper .

Replacing the thermal gunk on an Xbox GPU seems to have sorted its video issues. Major pain to remove that stuff.

Remove or replace the clock cap while you're there.

Upgrade the IDE cable and grab a sata adapter.
Make component cable using original composite cable plug and 360 component cable.

Snipped a while ago. The IDE that's in there now is large enough. I already have an original component cable.

Every time I keep trying to click on accept money, it keeps going to a error that it says is on their end. Honestly if I don't get my money within 24 hours or so, I will seriously take legal action.
