I'll check the INR again on Thursday and go push ebay into it if I need to.

This has happened to me before over the years. A few times it's people just using their fucking phone on ebay and message notifications are broken for them for whatever reason, so they have no idea buyers are sending messages... in those few cases the sellers have sorted the shit out by contacting auspost and then the package turns up like 3 days later. I think maybe one instance the seller just forgot to send the package but marked it as sent Then actually sent it priority which I didn't have to pay for

But yeah, at this point just playing the waiting game
Seller sent a message, says package should be here in a few days but didn't actually give a tracking number I needed to wait until 1st June to get ebay to step in anyway.

If he doesn't have tracking at all he's probably freaking out...

The only thing I've done that's close to that is INR ticket like 2 weeks after due date and then the item turns up 4 weeks later (Chinese seller and item under $10aud).

I mistakenly filed a claim about a battery for an e-reader which turned out to be fine. When I first charged it the battery ticked off bars as I watched (no percentage indicator ) and it worked after a second attempt. I would have filed a claim over how unstable it was before updating the firmware. The dictionary is also broken and that's not something easily fixed and involves another unit without the problem.
