    Question N64 textures

I want to know why the textures of the backround of nintendo 64 games looks so bad..
    like bad resolution or something.?
Is it something at the settings (one of the filters may be?)??

Im using the Pj64 and runing a lot of games
and the characters and items looks fine but the flat textures...yack!
(not so bad but i looked at screen shots and it should be better in real N64)

Thats not a emulation error but more or less the way the system was made.
You see the N64 never really had very good looking 2D Sprites anyway..
But when you play a N64 game on your comp with better graphics and higher resolution..
Well you get the idea.. A TV has a sort of interpolation to it and makes this less noticeable.
So basically its not a fault of you having a bad computer, But more that you have a good monitor!

It could be your filters too
Try setting you ZBuffer to 32bit or so. And also try enabling FSAA as well as changing texture quality to medium or high, either 8-8-8-1 bit textures or 5-5-5-1, whichever suits you. Make sure you're not using palletes..
Try turning on scanlines it may help..

Step 1: click the options menu
Step 2: Click Configure graphics plugin

Step 4: try adjustong the texture format and the other buttons untill u get a suitable setting...

Use your Video Options for your GFX card.

Did you completely overlook my post on purpose or... what?
I'm telling you it's not a graphics problem per se.. The N64 just never rendered 2D textures very well.
And a computer Monitor picks up little things like this a lot more than a Television would.
