Default EP Account Deletion Thread: Fare Thee Well

Post in this thread to have Ragnar remove your account entirely from epforums.org.

    Some rules:
    1) Your postcount may not exceed 1, which is the one post in this thread. If you have other posts you will have to find them and delete them. To do so click your username at the top of the page to find your member page, then click Find latest posts. If you click Edit on a post you will find the option to delete the post.

    2) Say why you're leaving.

    3) Be polite. Nobody is paying Ragnar to do this for you, he can refuse requests for any reason.

    Edit:
    4) Some of you want your post deleted, leaving no trace of you. That's cool, I can do that if you ask. I'll probably eventually do it even if you don't ask, I've already purged plenty of your posts. I just try to leave some null account posts here to show that I'm still active, and to show examples of requests that worked.

    5) Ragnar finds it considerably amusing if deleted accounts have clicked the "Thanks" button on this post. It is not required though.

    Default delete my account please

I never used this site (since 2017) I want to delete the account but I can't find the option, so I think an admin will have to delete it

Yes, an admin needs to delete it for you, but the thread rules:

Hi, I'd like to request deletion of my account.

    Cleaning up old accounts.
Created years ago and hasn't been used since.
Attached email was also apparently involved in a data breach.

May you also delete this post removing any trace of this UserName? Or, alternatively, randomize the UserName before deletion?

    Very much appreciated, thanks!

Hi, may I have all my forum posts nuked please? I'm refreshing this account after finding my info in a data breach so I changed my email/password and want to start anew. Thank you.

Please delete your old posts that'll be unaccounted, it's Rule #1.

I tried to delete the posts but I could delete only four or five. I have like 300 posts, I checked all of them manually and most of them don't have the "edit" button, only a few had. I couldn't even delete the threads I started, even if some don't have replies.
I guess it can't be deleted.
The user settings should have an option to close the account and delete everything.

If it can't be deleted then can the name be changed? to something random like glragh456 or whatever.

maybe if I get banned you can delete everything?.

Oh crap. That's quite a problem. I'm sure I could take care of it, but it'd take actual work to cleanup everything.
I can just change the username, password, and email account all to nonsense. So the account will be nobodies, if you're fine with that.

I was going to have myself deleted as I hadn't visited in something like 15 years, so I started the process of deleting posts.

However the vast majority of the threads have been locked, and editing isn't possible. Also, threads in the "Uploads Trash Bin" cannot be edited either, even though they aren't locked.

But, then I decided to stay a little longer, even though new posts have dropped dramatically since the great heyday. I'll see how things go.

    I love you, Ragnar.

Even though this means I can no longer answer requests like these by simply ignoring them while posting picture of capybaras. Which in fairness was very 2014 of me anyhow.

I like how that one guy had stopped collecting emus though.

Stopped collecting because his yard is full of them most likely
