looking through all these old pc/dos games I'd forgotten how many diablo clones there was.

Some of those old games have GoG releases and are already packaged with dosbox. They are DRM free.
Spoiler warning:
are they free?

yes
Spoiler warning:
DRM free means you don't need cracks or anything like that.
I probably have some backed up here but it would mostly be the likes of the old TES and Fallout titles. Should be some other games too, but I can't recall which ones right off the top of my head.

DMG Entertainment System (DES)
I'm not trying to push a shop site, this item is sold out atm anyway but I'm not sure if there's any other info about this elsewhere. It's just interesting.
Spoiler warning:
that is interesting. I don't really like how so many electronic companies are using usb for power.

I have a Super Famicom. Don't need any converter as Japan and U.S. use roughly the same electric standards. I've put up some A Link to the Past rom hacks. After I beat a game, I usually have another game I want to play or I just play something through emulation.
Japan is 100V and US is 120V.
Super Famicom has 9V DC input the mains power isn't really relevant.
I have 2x Super Famicoms and run them off local power supplies (240V 50Hz mains).
It should be possible to run the SFC from USB 5V too as I think it converts the 9V input internally down to 5V (I could be wrong though).
Don't try running a Super Famicom using a PAL NES power supply though, those are 10VAC
From what I've read it is possible to get 240V power in the US (NEMA 14-30 & 14-50 ). US 3-phase voltage can go up to 480V.
Spoiler warning:
I used to use a step down transformer to run my USA N64 until I read you could use a UK N64 power adapter.
My stuff is either NTSC-U or NTSC-J. I don't have any PAL stuff. I don't know if the UK N64 is different from the Jap or U.S. one, but I've seen you can run Jap on U.S. N64 if you modify the cartirdge bay a bit. I think its roughly same as what you'd do with the U.S. Super NES, you take out the little tabs that prevent Super Famicom games from being inserted into an NA SNES.
