I hardly ever watch TV. I also block ads on the internet. You can pretty much want any TV you want on the internet without ads/commericals.

Oh man, my local Grocery Store FINALLY carries the cans of GFuel. Stocked up for work lol.

My coworker is really going to be excited. She loves GFuel after I gave her a sip of mine last time.

Simple talk: Interlace has black lines so it's kinda half resolution. Interlaced with black lines

Like old consoles output 240p which old crt's would present as 480i on screen.
Some modern panels don't like 240p input especially if it's via HDMI.

With that last post I used NTSC resolutions so you wouldn't get confused by superfluous (for you) information

Progressive is better for a lot of things.
But with old consoles interlaced appears natural and authentic (on crt) without having to simulate scan lines etc using modern trickery (which is what a lot of people tend to do when upscaling on modern panels).

    ah okay
I vaguely recalled a discussion about it a long time ago and couldn't remember the though crossed my mind earlier when I was using my psp my tv said it was 480p then I recalled seeing 480i on a local station recently.

Technically it's more than what I said. Just simplified it...

That station broadcast in 480i is just standard definition.
If it was a 480p broadcast it would be enhanced definition, not HD although some people still think 480p is HD, it isn't.
720p is the lowest form of HD.
Then there's 1080i and 1080p which are both full HD (one is interlaced and the other is progressive).

kinda hard to tell the difference since most stuff I see on tv is 480i.

Progressive is preferable to interlaced whenever there's a choice, generally speaking.
