Compressing to CSO works reasonably well if you want to shave a bit more space off the games. You've got more free space with the memory card loaded than my entire card though .

Try inserting the memory card with the PSP off first and see how it goes?

If it doesn't want to play nice after formatting it then the adapter is probably faulty.

You format the sd card inside the adapter, as a memory stick. Don't remove the sd card after that, just insert the whole thing into a memory card reader on your pc.

About CSO: not all games play nice when compressed. Personally I avoid compressed games and just use more than one adapter combo.

Been reading about some PSP mods.
First I was doing some reading about Go...
You can desolder the m2 slot and wire up a memory stick adapter directly, I can only see info about 128GB being tested though

Then I got distracted by mods for older models, I already have component cable for the consoles I own (I don't have Go and the dock is stupid expensive now, 3in1 charge/component 3rd party cable is hard to find).
Add some ports for an external PS2 controller mod Started me thinking about sacrificing one of my consoles for a diy tv setup that's cheaper than Go + dock.

    Spoiler warning:

we'll see in a while. I was looking at a dual slot adapter in the event the seller didn't include one with my order.
