My 5.05 is cached offline. I had it connected to do the exploit initially but it has been completely offline since.

It works quick and easy. I've never had any issues so why change?
Oh yeah, if you're 5.05 there ain't no reason to change.

    I didn't need it anyway
Yeah, it does need a USB stick. I have those just laying around unused...

This too. I believe it caches the exploit so you only need to connect for a couple minutes. But the guide I followed did something with the DNS settings to block Sony's servers, so it don't matter much.

Well if it only connects that once initially it's the same as earlier exploits.

The guide I followed was simple, or maybe complicated if you consider the mod is actually only a couple minutes:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVFbo23BCK4

TLDW: install 9.00, flash a thumbdrive, hit a website on your PS4, click on exploit and stick the drive in when prompted

Edit: Hardest part of the mod was I couldn't find the web browser The XMB only shows like the last 20 things you've clicked and I've never ever clicked on the browser

They look about the same, I can't see why it wouldn't work. Just like we're getting PS5 backports on PS4 now

Well I've figured out what does and doesn't work with JD2. It's partly my bad luck hitting a non-working link on the random first link I tried, but yeah, there are indeed some links that after getting through the adfly bullshit, land on a link protector page with a captcha scheme that JD2 can't solve. These links are doubly worthless, I clicked my way through one and onto that link protector. That link protector had 30-40 links on it, it did not tell me the filenames of any of the links, it required me to click on each link to pop them open in a new tab, and each click had a 75% chance spawning a popup or forwarding the page to an ad. When the page forwards I have to back up the browser to that hard to get to page, and it drops me at the top of the page with no real way to tell where I left off. Literally a fucking nightmare that'd require literally hundreds of clicks just to harvest links for one game. I made a slight effort to try too, and accidentally closed the tab while trying to manage all the tabs it was spawning
Thankfully the error JD2 shows when it hits that site is pretty obvious, so I can just ignore it, and move onto links JD2 can manage.

Someone dumped Darkwood from disc and the latest update a few hours ago, but it needs a backport (update 1.06 needs fw7.00 afaik).
