Apparently a Chinese modder made an adapter to use non-genuine ssd on series s/x.

All the major publishers are extremely greedy. They'll latch onto any revenue stream that they can.

Just had a brief look. Started up a really old save, character started freezing to death lol. So I guess the upgrade worked.

Messing with GTA San Andreas right now. Let's just say I'm not impressed.

So is survival turned on by default or can't it be turned off?

Seems like. And no I didn't see an option to turn it off. I didn't play for too long though, it was 4am at the time.

I dunno. just expecting more I guess. I mean I wasn't expecting it to look like GTAV or anything but, well the whole screen looks like it has a dark filter. Like as if you're wearing sunglasses almost. It seems to run fine though. The car models look better and some of the background, which is weird because some things look better and others not so much. Also dithering on CJ's clothes which look weird. You'd have to play it to see what I mean.

You tried increasing the brightness a bit?

Didn't read about it anywhere but is hot coffee there? I'm assuming it isn't.

There should be a contrast setting, that might make the "sunglasses view" a bit better.

Apparently trilogy has R18+ Aussie rating due to "sex". I can't confirm that myself atm though.

I doubt hot coffee is in there, but I'll find out at some point.

I'll fiddle again with the contrast setting, but from what I can tell that and the brightness setting do absolutely nothing.

I'm getting used to it now though. The framerate seems to double when you're in J's house lol. I seem to remember the PC version doing this.

Ok yeah putting the contrast down to 0 did the trick. I'll incremently pump it up and see if I can find a balance.
