Toothpaste for scratches is a good trick. It should work unless the disc is heavily damaged.

I should try some of these with my Dark Souls 3 disc. I take care of my physical games, have no idea what happened to it.

I don't know if any of these tricks will work on a Blu-ray. The Xbone is Blu-ray, right?
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

Blu-ray has a fairly thick protective layer iirc. How bad is the DS3 disc?

Reason I'm asking is that as long as the inner ring can be read (DS3 dic icon shows up on your dash) you should be able to search for the game on the store and see an install button.
Install the game by downloading the latest version from the store, the disc is only needed to play the game after it is installed (like BC disc installs).

Honestly it doesn't look like there's any damage at all.

Oh and nothing shows up in the dash at all.

Other games work so it's not the drive either.

It's a bad XB1 disc if it doesn't show up on the dash at all, pressing fault.
I had a lego hobbit disc like that, returned it for a refund. Got another disc from somewhere else and it worked ok.
