Default need advice pulling roms off of GBA cartridges

I have a retrode 2 and it's worked well for the most part pulling roms off of catridges. but it's really not working well with GBA cartridges. Some games like Sonic Advance 3 and Warioland 4 won't let me access the save data. I can still pull the main game and run it on an emulator, just no access to the save data. there are also a few games i can't do anything at all with, like zelda minsh cap. That game i can't even pull a usable rom. it either gives me a 0kb gba file or on some occasions a DAT file. The cartridges still work fine, I can plug them into my DS lite and they run just fine, i can still access the saves and everything with that.

so, all that being said, does anyone know a solution to this issue? a workaround for the retrode or something else i can get to pull the data?

I have no ideas about Retrode usage, that's way to new for me to care. But I do believe I recall Minish Cap having copy protection, so Retrode simply hasn't added workarounds for all the kinds of copy protection it'll bump into.
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

Nope. Save file data has largely been ignored when it came to rom dumping devices, even though it's a really nice feature.
