Original Birth Control: My Argument (Warning: Slightly racy content)

Well, in my general meanderings with Battousai this morning I formulated this theory.
Why Post-Marital Sex is Birth Control.
After masturbation, you find out sex feels good.
Masturbation is usually done at ages 12+.
Therefore, finding out it is a good thing (and that sex is a good thing through this) said person seeks to "do it more" (sex and masturbation)
There were no birth control devices at the time, so very likely that sex would result in children.
Sex drive is at it's most powerul at ages 13-18.
It is socially awkward to marry under 18 (too young etc.) so people would marry at 18, when extremely powerful sex drive is wilting.
This would result in less babies, as there is no desire to have more sex.

Nope the age thing doesn't make any sense, people were getting married by 14 in the middle ages and earlier previously. And people are in their prime at about 20 and most likely to have viable offspring as due to the human body it is unlikely a female survives if they have a child to young waiting until about 20 increases the population.

An interesting hypothesis, but I really don't think it has much merit to it. Humans never needed population control back then, in fact the more people we had the better we did. Although evolution can be quite amazing at times, I don't think this is feasible...

Not particularly, no. That theory niether made sence, nor actually pertained to religion in any way whatsoever. I may have missed something, as I am slightly out of sorts right now, but I just found it to be a bunch of mumbo-jumbo and no offense to Toto but a bit silly and far-fetched as well. It's sorta interesting, but as KoN said, there's little merit in it.

Thats one of the if not THE most stupidest comment i have ever heard...

You think the only thing good about marriage is raising a family! What about the bond between you and your wife/husband, knowing that have a partner for life, there is no greater way of saying "i love you" then getting married in my oppinion.
