WarCraft III Problem

I just got warcraft 3 the reign of chaos yesterday, i installed it and then tried to play it, but then it said it could not detect the CD when i tried to load the game up. Also when i restarted the autoplay said instal warcraft 3 instead of "play warcraft 3" can any one please help me out here?

Sorry, gotta hand you some warning points there buddy. No CD cracks falls under the catagory of Warez, and you know our policy as it applies to Warez.

Try using a different CD-Drive, maybe you`re CD-RW Drive (if you have one). That works okay with me.

Why would a simple no-cd crack be warez? it's not like i'm giving the game to him. he already has it.

Think to yourself for a minute as to why a No CD crack is warez related material. If he had the game he'd have no use for one, as he'd already have the required play disk that comes with the game. All No CD cracks are used for is to allow people to just put the game on thier HD and bypass the checks the game runs on the install disk. You could feasibly buy the game, put it on your HD and return it, and use the No CD crack to play it...

Try downloading a patch for the game, maybe that helps.

Thanks to all your suggestions guys, I finaly got the WarCraft III working but instead of the Paladin's cross and you know the signs under a hero are all black.

Not 100% true, most of my games are genuine articles, yet I use No-CDs all the time. Why? It's a pain having to change CDs all the time + certain dodgy copy protection stops some games from loading at all (in one of my drives).

What you said was entirely relevant to fixed Exes though
