I've tried both and even though ZSNES is better in a couple ways I've always enjoyed SNES9x better I don't know why.
I still keep a copy of ZSNES for Star Ocean though

I didn't know about that. Thanks for the infoOriginally posted by crusher
ZSNES was able to run those games before SNES9x. It was the ZSNES team who gave the SNES9x makers the nessecary info to make those games playable.
Me will rock you
Snes9x
i personally use the zsnes. it runs ever game i have downloaded at a good speed. overall it's a solid emulater.
ZSNES. First one I downloaded that worked (second one I downloaded, the other one didn't work very well for me...) so I just stayed with it. Never had a reason to not use it.

Actually, I also thought the sound for ZSNES was better, although, after MONTHS of having SNES9X resting in its own miserable directory, I decided to give it another shot, just for kicks.
After reading the readme file, and messing with the sound settings for a few minutes, I found a way to make the sound work fine! (before, it had a lot of static) So, I played Super Metroid for a couple of minutes and... went back to ZSNES!
Not that I didn't like 9X, but I guess I'm just too attached to ZSNES, it's been the best ever since I first used it...
And about the GUI being more "User Friendly" in 9X, I doubt it... It's prettier, yes, but ZSNES' GUI is much more straight-forward and ugly too...
And ZSNESWin can run on window mode too (16-Bit color depth desktop) and is easy to save, load and pick states with (F2, F4 & F3, respectively)...
I forgot to say that Snes9x tends to crash more than ZSNES, this, obviously, on my computer.
Me will rock you
I picked Zsnes, easier to use, has alot of customization, basically I custom colored the GUI with black and green so that's probably why I like it so much. And now I have the little dealy that I downloaded so I could play SFA2.

Please dont revive dead threads unless it's nessary.
zsnes because after im gone i want zsnes to be mine
I beleive this thread needs to be closed as it is about a year old.
Since I am hear I might as well say zsnes as it was what I first used and runs most games better. I also like the way netplay works on it.
