    Default Einstein's Riddle

    Einstein's Riddle

There are 5 houses in 5 different colours.
In each house lives a person with a different nationality.
The owners drink a certain type of beverage, smokes a certain type of cigar and has a certain pet.
No owner has the same pet, smokes the same brand or drinks the same beverage.

The question is......Who owns the fish?

    Facts:-

The Brit lives in the Red house

The Swede keeps Dogs as pets

    The Dane drinks Tea

The Green house is on the left of the White house

The Green houses owner drinks Coffee

The person who smokes Pall Mall rears Birds

The owner of the Yellow house smokes Dunhill

The man living in the Centre house drinks Milk

The Norwegian lives in the First house

The man who smokes Blends lives next to the one who keeps Cats

The man who keeps the Horse lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill

The owner who smokes Bluemasters drinks Beer

    The German smokes Prince

The Norwegian lives next to the Blue house

The man who smokes Blends has a neighbour who drinks Water

Einstein wrote this riddle this century. He said 98% of the world could not solve it.

It can be done! Be part of the 2% that could.

I can solve it, it's not easy and even if you come up with an answer that you think is solid and you have all the facts for, you could still be wrong. Tell me what you think it is and if you already know don't spoil it. By the figure above only a few people here should get it....(don't go searching the net for the answer, I'll know if you did because the net answers are mostly wrong, even if they provide proof that looks very concrete and accurate).
Ya uh.. pikachu slapping another pikachu.. how bout' that?

Fish isn't mentioned in the riddle at all. There's no way you could solved it.

It can be. Why would it need fish in it to be solved, when all other animals are named and clued?

Could take you guys weeks, or months to find the answer that I'm looking for, Direwulf PMed me with his answer, which was my orignal thought. But that's not what it is.

Hah! I won't tell anyone if they are right unless I get the nationality and why it is him.

I have an answer but I am not sure if it can be correct or not. You'll know what I mean when you read my PM. PM me back to let me know if my answer works or not and if it doesn't then point out the clue that makes it not work.

EDIT: crap, *Spoiler removed by trelimb by akeries request* I got curious and looked at the list of clues on a webpage to see if you left anything out. I guess my answer, while creative, can't be right if the houses have to be in a row.
    I'll try again.

EDIT AGAIN: Ok, I did it again, this time with the houses in a row. I'm sending you the new answer now.

What you told me was wrong, but you were on the right track. When you put them all together they are in a row of sorts, just not like you explained. But keep thinking outside the box.

Here's what I'm going to tell you guys as a last hint. When you plot a graph using the hints without thinking outside the box, you'll end up with the german who has the fish. This is wrong, that's way easy, this is einsteins riddle people, do you think he'd make it so just anyone could solve it? So there you have it, it's not the german which I bet 98% of you come up with first, I know I did. >

I don't want to give away the nationality, so it may or may not be anyone of them. But the Swede being the logical one is such a stupid reason. I bet you didn't even try and solve it, and are just saying Swede.

    damn, I got the german.

EDIT: All the clues work with the german having it. Can you tell me anything that tells me why it isn't the german? I guess you already said the outside the box thing.

EDIT: I have a new answer, PMing you now.
