    Goldeneye, idiot!

Um... Starwars games are usually good, and star trek armada was also good.

EDIT: Hey... that title's not what I said on MSN!

Ok fine... Um... I haven't seen any.

Those are games based on movies, not movies based on games...

I used to like the Mortal Kombats... I have no idea why.

Maybe if they ever make the movie based on american mcgee's alice, that seems promising. Although wouldn't that really be a movie based on a game based on a book? Speaking of alice, resident evil has a couple choice scenes that I think were done really well. The movie as a whole is just kind of what you would expect it to be but I like it. It would have been nice if the music and sound effects didn't drown out the dialogue so much though.

I personally didn't mind the Super Mario Bros. movie, but it had nothing to do with the game, so I guess it doesn't count...

Resident Evil wasn't too bad either. It's possible that it's the only semi-decent movie that's based on a game. It's not brilliant or anything, but it's above average...

The Street Fighter 2 Anime moves are also pretty good, from what I've seen of them.

That's about it really. With a few exceptions, movies based on games (and vice-versa) are bloody awful...

He was being sarcastic, if you look at the end of his post, he put :"Ok fine... Um... I haven't seen any".

No, Eirc was just being a jackass.

He asked me what a good topic for General Gaming would be on MSN and I THINK I typed "Are there any games you like that were based on movies" or something like that.

Oh, and I didn't like that crappy-live-action-Disney-Super Mario Bros. movie. Just so this isn't complete

The Mortal Kombat films are good to watch for a laugh. The Street Fighter II anime is kickass, better than the live action one. The Sonic anime is a lugh to watch too, as is the Chrono Trigger OVA - it kicks ass!!

I like The Street Fighter 2 anime, and the Mortal Kombat films (not in the same way I like Leon or other such good films) and the Toshinden anime(s) look(s) good, but I haven't seen it all the way through.

I thought the Final Fantasy movie was great, that was kinda based off a game

Not really, it was the same franchise, but the stories and characters from any of the games, bears no relevance to the film. In the same way that I wouldn't call the Final Fantasy games sequels, sinc the only characters that reappear are Vicks, Wedge and maybe a couple others, but even they aren't the same people, they just have the same names.

    LA!

Sorry for my rant, but I love the Final Fantasy film too.
